Sharon Somers
Sharon M. Somers is an artist and published author. Originally from Eureka, Sharon now resides in The Village of Hopewell where she has her studio. Sharon has specialized in Watercolor Batik on rice paper for several years. Gardening, writing, home decorating and sewing also keep her busy.
Sharon first studied watercolor with the late JoAnn Bell of Washington. She earned her associates degree from I.C.C. in 1982, specializing in watercolor illustration under Stan Adams and Norm Hines. She was an award-winning art director for major companies in Peoria until 1996. Again and again, through life and loss, The Lord Jesus, family and art have been her anchors.
