February AIM (otherwise known as Artist Information Meeting)
These are held every OTHER month, on the 3rd Monday evening at St. Pauls’ Episcopal Church in the Hedberg Room.
At the recent AIM meeting, artist Kagan Masters wowed attendees with her unique demonstration on painting with coffee. Mixing instant coffee with water, she spilled the beans on her secret brew for crafting her coffee-infused signature paintings.
Her quirky Caffeinated Animals series stare back with eyes wide open, looking like they've had one too many espressos. Adding a twist, she also incorporates bare lightbulbs in her artworks, often portraying various subjects inside them, such as people.
During the demonstration, participants eagerly followed along as Kagan guided them in painting, what else... a cup of coffee using coffee paint she provided. Everyone got a taste of the caffeinated art world, stirring up a frothy mix of fun and creativity for the evening.
