As a child, I saw art and beauty in everything! My maternal Grandfather showed me how unique every plant, flower, animal and human was created. No two are alike and we are designed by God. This spiritual experience has been planted in my heart. I was given a camera for my 12th birthday; I’ve been photographing my children’s lives, events, and now more flowers, landscapes and historic buildings. Life is relatively short on this earthly path, so I try to document as much as possible.

Through my journey I have enjoyed taking art classes at Springfield, Ohio Museum of Art with watercolor medium, had classes with JoAnn Bell in watercolor; Timothy Clark, a Master Watercolorist; Carol Rennick Quell, watercolor; Jeanne Ledbetter, watercolor; and Sharon Somers, watercolor. I have membership (almost 30 years) in the Illinois Art League, had co-chaired and chaired Metro Fine Art Fair for several years, and have assisted with our Peoria Historical Society Rennick Art Show for several years before I chaired the Rennick Show the last 16 years. After 15 years as a caregiver, I hope to be able to more fully participate in watercolor classes and more time to paint.
