Ruth Inman

Ruth Inman

Ruth has been creative since her pre-teens making flyers for church events. This encouraged her into taking 2 years of art in high school and then in college. Later in life, her computer career introduced her to graphic editing and design for web development, business cards and yet more flyers. This was the driving force in her life for many years until she could finally retire her computer career and get back to the art she loved so much. Some of those aspects carried over into her art world however; Teaching computer classes came in handy later on when she began teaching mini art classes for Illinois Central College and private (and public) parties in the Peoria area.

Ruth first fell in love with acrylics, then discovered the world of watercolor and inks. Too many choices led her to not want to choose at all, so many of her pieces are of a mixed media nature. Her style, bright with color, has been referred to as Whimsical but on occasion she surprises everyone with a realism piece, just for the heck of it.
