I have always been interested in art from an early age. My Mom would buy me the beautiful colors of crayons and construction paper. I would often go to visit my aunt on weekends, and she would give me the back sheets of old calendars to draw and color on. That was fun.
My eighth grade teacher, Mrs. Hardenbrook, saw that I had some natural talent. I would always enjoy helping her get out art supplies on “art day.” She was a big influence on my life. She suggested that I take art in high school, so I took arts and crafts all four years. Anything I could get my hands on art-wise, I loved to do.
Mr. Schwartz was my teacher. I enjoyed drawing, lettering, perspective, spray painting, working with clay, etching on glass, silk screening on material, panting pictures and much, much more. It was really a good time in my life.
I enjoy reading art and photography books and magazines. I have taken many classes and workshops. To name some, I took with Pete Bennett, Pat Dale, Dean Howard, Gloria Altorfer, JoAnn Bell, Mike Casper, Arleta Pech, Judi Betts, Karlyn Holman, Kristy Kutch and others.
