In 2010 my daughter gave me a camera and reignited my interest in the beauty that surrounds us. A variety of classes led to a deeper understanding of how to capture and appreciate that beauty digitally.

In the past year I’ve become interested in painting and drawing, taking online courses and through self-study. And I have renewed a passion for artistic expression through drawing left behind in childhood, a passion that is now leading to much personal satisfaction.

My current focus lies in creating still life, landscapes and portraits through use of acrylic paints and photography, and, of course, refining my artistic skills. My primary artistic goal is to achieve works that bring a sense of joy, happiness and satisfaction for me and to the viewer as well.

Joining the IAL in May 2015, I hope to continue my growth as an artist and meet new people along the way.
